Ramadan is a month of reflection, devotion, and discipline. As an MDCAT aspirant, balancing intense study sessions with fasting can seem challenging, but with the right approach, it can be an opportunity to boost your focus and efficiency.
This blog provides two structured study plans tailored to your energy levels: a Sehri-Based Study Plan for early risers and an Iftar-Based Study Plan for those who find night-time study more productive. Choose the one that best fits your routine and make the most of this blessed month!
Schedule 1: Sehri-Based Study Plan
If you feel fresh after Sehri and prefer studying in the morning, this plan is for you! It focuses on heavy subjects like Physics & Chemistry when your energy is at its peak.
Daily Routine (Sehri-Based)
03:00 AM – 04:00 AM → Study Session 1 (Chemistry + Past Paper Questions)
04:15 AM → Sehri, Fajr & Quran Recitation
04:30 AM – 06:30 AM → Study Session 2 (Physics + Topic-wise MCQs)
06:30 AM – 08:00 AM → Rest / Power Nap
08:00 AM – 01:00 PM → College (Focus on Revision During Breaks)
01:00 PM – 02:30 PM → Break / Nap
02:30 PM – 03:30 PM → Study Session 3 (English + Logical Reasoning Practice)
03:30 PM – 04:30 PM → Asr + Break / Nap
04:30 PM – 05:30 PM → Study Session 4 (Biology + Flashcards Revision)
06:30 PM → Maghrib & Iftar
09:00 PM – 10:00 PM → Past Paper Solving / Light Study
10:00 PM – 03:00 AM → Sleep
Tip: Keep a hydration bottle with you post-Iftar to stay energized!

Schedule 2: Iftar-Based Study Plan
If waking up early is a struggle and you feel more productive after Iftar, this plan suits you better. It allows you to cover heavy subjects in the evening when your energy is restored.
Daily Routine (Iftar-Based)
01:00 PM – 02:00 PM → Zuhr & Study Session 1 (English + Logical Reasoning)
02:00 PM – 04:30 PM → Asr + Nap
04:30 PM – 05:30 PM → Study Session 2 (Biology + Flashcards)
06:30 PM → Maghrib & Iftar
09:00 PM – 11:00 PM → Study Session 3 (Physics + Past Paper MCQs)
11:00 PM – 12:30 AM → Break
12:30 AM – 01:30 AM → Study Session 4 (Chemistry + Timed Tests)
01:30 AM – 02:30 AM → Power Nap
02:30 AM – 04:00 AM → Sehri & Fajr
04:00 AM – 08:00 AM → Sleep
08:00 AM – 01:00 PM → College (Focus on Revision During Breaks)
Tip: After Iftar, avoid heavy, oily foods to prevent sluggishness during study hours!
Staying Motivated During Ramadan
- Set Small Goals: Instead of overwhelming yourself with long study hours, break subjects into small, achievable tasks.
- Spiritual Balance: Combine study with recitation and prayers to stay mentally refreshed.
- Smart Nutrition: Opt for slow-digesting foods like oats and bananas in Sehri to sustain energy levels.
- Accountability Partner: Find a study buddy to keep you on track!
Remember, Ramadan Teaches Discipline! Your dedication now will not only help you in MDCAT but also in future academic challenges. Stay consistent, stay hopeful, and make every moment count!
